2020 Carbon County Visitors Guide

Carbon County Visitors’ Council (CCVC) announces the arrival of the 2020 Carbon County Visitors Guide and the Visit Carbon County fold out brochure.

As the 2020 tourist season picks up, the Carbon County Visitors’ Council (CCVC) is excited to announce the arrival of the 2020 revised Carbon County Visitor Guide and Visit Carbon County foldout brochure for visitors to Carbon County.

The Carbon County Visitors’ Council partnered with Vision in Progress Marketing, LLC (V.I.P.) to update and expand the existing visitor guide publications.  The CCVC’s visitor guide goal was to freshen the look of the existing CC visitor guide and add more content by providing more information about our great outdoors and unique vacation offerings while keeping our mailable format. “With suggestions and ideas from CCVC, Cindy Loose, owner of V.I.P., designed a gorgeous guide with new sections that cover Outdoor Adventures and Adventure Vacations,” said Leslie Jefferson, CCVC CEO.  The new visitor guide not only details area lodging, dining, and attractions available but provides sample itineraries for each area of Carbon County.  “It is not only a resource for visitors but also a great guide for our residents to use and experience our huge and wonderful Carbon County backyard.”

Carbon County Visitors’ Council has been promoting Carbon County to national and international tour operators for the past four years.

With tour operator shows and conferences comes the need for a one-page information sheet to leave with tour operators that will assist in bringing bus tours to and through Carbon County.  “The idea of a foldout brochure came from Kent Elliott, Director of Destination Global Sales with Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce.  Kent has been selling Jackson Hole for over twenty years, saw my struggle with creating an adequate two-sided (8 ½” x 11”) follow-up page for tour operators, and suggested I try creating an 11” x 17” document,” said Leslie Jefferson.  CCVC again partnered with Cindy Loose to create a one-page (11”x17”) document.  The finished product details some of Carbon County’s greatest assets to tour operators.  The publication incudes a striking cover page pointing out selling points, a detailed map of the 5 walking trails that have been developed in Rawlins, sample itineraries (scenic drives), mention of our annual events, bus friendly hotels, and contact information.

Both the visitor guide and one-page Visit Carbon County foldout brochure are currently being distributed to CCVC lodging and tourism partners throughout the county.

Both publications are available for pick up at our Rawlins Administrative Office (M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm) or the Wyoming Frontier Prison (M-Sun, 9am-5pm).  Visitor guides are available at our Riverside Visitor Center (M-Sun, 8am-5pm) or the Baggs Valley Artisan’s Visitor Center (M – Sun, 11-4).
